A Mint Idea!

One of the biggest trends for 2013 is the revival of 1920’s mint colour scheme with nature and the outdoors in mind and simplistic accompaniments of bark and wood to give an organic feel to your day.

One of the most important factors in themes and schemes is continuity so how does a venue or caterer adapt to ensure that this is met whilst still being practical and fulfilling the needs of the couple and their guests on their special day?

With a ‘Back to Basics’ element and wood and bark being a prominent feature in 2013 this could be incorporated into your meal presentation, perhaps a starter such as Scallops with a Pea and Mint puree served in shallow jam jars tied with some twine, a Roast Lamb Main braised in Garlic, Rosemary & Mint served on bark boards and desert of After Eight Ganache served with homely Mint Choc Chip Ice-Cream in keeping with the theme of the day.

So, if you’re getting married this year, make it a MINT affair!
